Him: Non-denominational. Isn't Wicca, like, devil worship?
Me: Do I seem to you like a Satanist?
Him: No, you seem to be a perfectly nice human being.
Me: So, if I was indeed a Satanist, would that make me an unkind monster?
Him: Well, I'd imagine that people who worship the devil are.
Me: For the record, one of my best friends is a Satanist. Satanists rarely actually worship Satan or any other devil, the religion is basically self-indulgence. Worship thyself and hate the God of the Christians. It has nothing to do with bowing down before hell, that is a choice that some Satanists make.
Him: So, are you Satanist?
Me: No, I am Wiccan.
Him: So they aren't the same thing?
Me: Not in the slightest. Wicca is a lifestyle characterized by the worship of a chosen deity or more than one, along with acts of witchcraft by using the energies in the elements. It is a beautiful religion, and I love it. :)
